I Know What Doesn't Work

After two days fussing and testing and trying, I finally figured out how to make an open star base for a basket (based on my 9 star basket) that I could actually teach:

It was frustrating, but I tried to keep telling myself on each failure, that it wasn't actually a failure - I just knew another way that it didn't work.  So now I know MANY ways that it doesn't work, but one that does.

Now to design the rest of the basket....
